Halloween Party

Sat. night was our church halloween party. I think Tyler is a little too young for this or he was a little too tired. Either way, it was not a fun night for us, but here are some pics.

He was soooo tired! He did NOT want to be dressed up and did NOT want to go anywhere!

Kissing his finger b/c he got a boo-boo:(

The whole time I was trying to paint his face he cried and cried and kept rubbing it off with his hand and batting me away-as you can tell from the smears of black that were supposed to be whiskers on his face. After a couple attempts we decided that he is just too little for the face painting...maybe next year?!

The cake I made for the cake walk (it was supposed to be a jack-o-lantern cake, but I ended up running out of time so I had to settle for just the pumpkin, which made me sooo grumpy, but what can you do?!)

He was trying to tear off the wraper to this candy forever!

Crawling around on the table

There was a little bit of ginger ale left in the cup and he LOVED it!

I promise I'm not drunk in this picture!

Me and Amanda doing the cake walk-we did 20 times and still did NOT win a cake!

Impromptu date night

The perks of having your sister live with you:
-girl time/talk again (b/c we all know boy's just don't do talking justice)
-someone to paint the nails-neatly- on your "other" hand
-someone to watch chick flicks with-that doesn't constantly crack jokes through the whole thing
-someone to steal feminine products from when you run out
-someone that can babysit for you on a last minute notice so you and your husband can do something alone...even if that something is washing the car together

Last night we had just put Tyler to bed and Bobby said he was going to wash the car. (Which means; wash by hand, dry by hand, clean and vaccuum the inside, detail the inside, and rub shiny oily stuff on the wheels.) The car wash is just "not good enough"-per Bobby. So I was like, hey lets do it together and he was like oh yea, you can come with me this time since Amanda can stay here and watch the baby. So we spent an hour and a half last night, just the two of us, washing both our cars (we had to go to a car wash place b/c they have the vaccuums) talking and laughing and making fun of each other and it was SO fun! I have to say it's one of the best dates we've ever been on and it costs us less then $5.00 (we wen't inside the gas station and got a chocolate milk and bag of m&m's to share while we were working.) I'm pretty sure I'm the luckiest wife in the world!

Do you have any cute/random date stories?

Here's to cheap coats...

Well, we're definately into coat weather now here in the great state of Utah so we've been trying to find a really good winter coat for Tyler-at a reasonable price since he will outgrow it in what...a week or something ridiculous! So we've looked EVERYWHERE! This past weekend we finally found one at such a good deal that we couldn't pass it up, even though it's a little big and I don't really like it, but like I said we couldn't NOT buy it. We found it at Gymboree (which I love!) for ...$12.99! You might not be able to tell from looking at it but it is very thick and warm on the inside so it should keep him nice and toasty. Since that one was so cheap we also bought him a really cute "dressy" coat that he can wear to church from The Children's Place. The coat I really wanted for him was at Baby Gap, but it was $45.00 and Bobby was like, "NO WAY, I didn't even pay that much for my coat!" So, here's to cheap coats!

No, there are not any football pads in his coat

His little head poking out makes him look like a turtle!! :)

My little helper

It was extra cold this morning when Tyler and I left to go on our walk so I put his new beanie on him so his little ears wouldn't get cold (thanks grandma for the hat-he looks super cute!)

By the time we got home (an hour later) he had fallen asleep in the carrier, it was so sweet!

Later that morning he helped me out with the dishes!

(excuse my big butt!)

Happy Birthday Melinda

Well, this post is very much belated, but these are some pictures from my friend Melinda's birthday party, Sept. 28th. The reason it's taken me so long to get these posted is because I was hoping to get some pictures from us the first time I shared a birthday with her which was back in 2001, our freshman year at BYU. I was able to scan the pictures but they're not showing up when I try to add them to this post, so unfortunately i just have the pictures from this year. Anyway Happy Birthday Melinda, we had a blast!

Sugar Baby!

So Bobby's been feeling a little low the past couple of days, just a bit stressed-working 45-50 hours a week, school full time at night, trying to officially choose a major, keeping his wifey happy, ya know just basic stuff :)! And for those of you who know Bobby, know he does NOT get stressed out easily so I've been a little worried about him. So I put together, what I hope will be, a little "pick-me-up" for him-a candy gram!!

This is what it looks like all put together!

God Bless Texas!

My wonderful friend Stacie mailed Tyler THE COOLEST tee-shirt from TX, so I had to take pictures of him in it for her. Thanks Stacie, it's his favorite shirt!!!

Up close of the mohawk!

Later that day we went to the park because it was a perfect park day-and there was no one else there so I got to run around with Tyler acting like a 4 year old, but it was so fun!!!

Peek-a-boo

Hi Mom!!

Ha Ha, you can't get me!
