Grandma Luci and Papa James come to visit!

Towards the end of August Bobby's mom and step-dad (grandma Luci and papa James) flew out from Missouri to spend about 4 days with us! Since we only get to see them once a year we jammed our 4 days full of fun! I am so thankful they value their role as grandparents and find opportunities to connect with Tyler and Kylee. Their time here was all about the kids and I appreciate the effort they make to really try and get to know them and build a relationship!

They arrived Thurs. night so Fri. we spent the day at the zoo!

Sat. morning we went over to the Logan River Trail and hunted for rocks...

...threw rocks

...and found worms; which Tyler chased me with trying to throw them on me-a request from his daddy-as I shamelessly went screaming down the trail. My 4 year old has some serious power over me. Whatever...their totally gross, I don't even care that bobby laughed so hard he cried. I'd scream all over again if it'd keep those things away from me.

Sat. afternoon while the kids were napping Luci and James did a session at the Logan Temple and then came home to teach us how to make navajo fry bread so we could have navajo tacos for dinner-yum!!!

Sun. after church Kylee requested that grandma paint her nails PINK PINK PINK!

Monday we spent the whole day at Bear Lake and it was the best day we've ever had up there! The weather was PERFECT to lay out on the beach AND to play in the water and there was hardly anyone there-we had SO much beach, and lake, to ourselves! We buried ourselves in the sand, built a sand castle, hunted for seashells and cool rocks, swam in the lake, flung mud at each other and got tan! :). Typically this lake is really cold, but it was the perfect temperature and both the kids were brave (for the first time EVER) and waded out as far as they could touch the bottom-so fun to have them at the ages where they enjoy splashing around, being thrown around and chasing each other in the water!

Thanks for the great memories grandma and grandpa, we LOVE you!!!!!
