Bed time Poll

So Bobby and I have had a few discussions lately about whether or not we should go to bed together-like at the same time. I wouldn't say I go to bed early, but it's usually around 10:30/11:00, and Bobby doesn't ever go to bed till close to midnight. He always says he's just not tired enough to go to bed yet, but if he comes and lays down with me for a few minuets to help me fall asleep, 95% of the time he falls asleep before I do. He now claims that since that happens so often (him falling asleep first) I am somehow tricking him into going to bed early (apparently I have very magical powers!), so he has decided not only will he not go to bed with me, he also will not come and lay down with me till I fall asleep anymore. If he has to (aka I beg him to) I get a time limit...5 min. max. What I want to know is, are all of your husbands this way?! Please take my poll so I can find out!

Skyler is the same way. I always want to go to bed around 11, but he is never tired. I make him come in the bedroom anyways and he just watches tv or does his homework on the computer or whatever in the bedroom. He has only gone to bed before me or fallen asleep before like twice since we have been married!

Hehe, you guys are so funny! But I know what you mean, I have a hard time falling asleep if Ryan is still up and I don't know when he is coming to bed. I don't know why, but I almost lay awake anticipating when he's going to in... oh, sounds like he's coming. nope, oh, maybe now! Sometimes he'll watch TV while I fall asleep.

My husband and I both stay up way too late. Sometimes I'm working on a project and he goes to bed without me. Sometimes he's working on a project and I go to bed without him. However, we always pray together before one or the other goes to sleep... so I guess no matter what, we get our spiritual time in.

My natural inclination is to handle bedtime like Bobby. In a perfect world, I would put Lora to bed around 10:00 (her normal bedtime) and then proceed to have a few hours of my own time in the ol' garage/studio until retiring to bed myself. Unfortunately, this would be entirely unacceptable to my wife. I've known since we dated that time spent together is of imminent importance to her, and that this includes bedtime. So I have always acquiesced to her wishes. So much so that I have never actually told her until now that I'd prefer the aforementioned arrangement (to which she replied something to the effect that her way was as it should be anyway - hence why I've never mentioned it). So kudos to Bobby for getting away with it!

If Aaron's not working nights, he lays with me until I fall asleep and then gets up and does his own thing. Tell Bobby if he's falling asleep early with you, his body is trying to tell him something!!

I always try to go to bed at the same time as well, but like you, I am wanting to go to bed "earlier" (not early, just earlier). Most the time I persist in asking him he will give in. I guess it's just a guy thing!

Ever since we have been married we have gone to bed at the same time. Since I work full time to put Kenny thru school...he knows his full time job is school. He also has to wake up with me every morning, shower, and get ready...and often makes my lunch. Its all that I ask since I am working for HIS education. If not I would go crazy thinking he was staying up playing and sleeping in...while I work for him and our family. If he isn't tired just yet, he will read in bed with a little book light. So unless he is pulling a all-nighter for a test...he is laying beside me...Plus I love that time when we talk and flirt. Every family is different so you have to figure out what works for your family.

Cam and I have always gone to bed at the same time since we got married. Every once in a while on of us is too pooped to care and will go to bed early but I guess we are just on the same schedule.

Russel comes and "puts me to bed" and then leaves. Sometimes he'll go to bed at the same time I do and I have the hardest time falling asleep!

Matt and I read our scriptures together right before bed so we always go to bed together. (Really the scripture reading would be more productive in the morning, but Matt gets up toO early!) Matt always falls asleep before me though while I do one of my most favorite things in the world....READ!

I'm not sure which option to pick for your poll because I ALWAYS fall asleep first, usually on the couch! I am still not a night person by any stretch of the imagination. I can fall asleep any time, any where. But good luck with your poll!

Unless one of us has a day off the next day (like Nathan is on break) we almost always go to bed together around 10-10:30. I like going to bed at the same time because we always end up talking for awhile, it is a nice way to end the day.
