MIA

I apologize for being MIA in the blogging world the past couple weeks, but unfortunately I am really sick. I was hoping this pregnancy would be better than my last one and while some days are better, most are not. I'm currently hooked up to an IV that I thought I would just have for 1 or 2 days, but it turns out I'll probably be hooked up for several weeks. Thankfully my mom and sister are here with me this week helping out with Tyler and I don't know what I would do without them! Although at times it's hard for me to remember why I wanted to go through all of this again, I am TRULY grateful for the opportunity I have to be pregnant because I have so many amazing and wonderful friends that struggle with this very problem. I appreciate the strength I receive from them (you know who you are!!) and remember to find something to be thankful for every day. I love you all and thank you for your help and prayers!

Good News?

At the beginning of our Relief Society they always have a "good news minute" for us to share anything good that happened during the week. Yesterday, one girl raises her hand and says her son who is 14 mo. (couple weeks YOUNGER than Tyler) is almost fully potty trained. What?! It's always nice to hear something that reminds you how behind you are in your parenting. :)

To Be Fair

Okay, so I know I've ragged on Bobby quite a bit, so just to show you that he's not the only one that does goofy things and that I don't do it to hate on him, here's something pretty embarrasing about myself!

Yesterday I ran a lot of errands in the morning and my last stop was at the Library to get Bobby Lord of the Flies (he has to read it for his Ethics and Values class). I pull into a parking spot at the very front, which I'm super excited about, and turn off the car. The key will not come out of the ignition. I pull and pull and then turn the ignition a couple of times and it still won't come out. I call Bobby at work to see what he thinks I should do and he tells me to restart the car and then turn it off and see if the key will come out. The car won't start. Bobby says, "so it won't start AND you can't pull the key out?" Right. He says he'll come over and look at it. Luckily he works directly across the street from the Library, but it still took him 20 min. to be able to leave and come help me.

Meanwhile, Tyler falls asleep in his carseat which makes me slightly grumpy because it's about 12:00 and now he won't take his afternoon nap. Ugh! Bobby arrives.

Bobby: Okay, let me get in and see what I can do.
Me: The car probably just busted and we'll have to spend another $300 to fix some stupid part. (we just spent $300 last week putting new bearings and breaks on our other car!)
Bobby climbs in
Bobby: Are you kidding me?!
Me: What?
Bobby: Angela, you have to put the car in park before you turn it off!
Me: OOPS!

I'm afraid I will always be your "little cheerleader" Stacie!

Nathan's Blessing

Today my sister's little baby was blessed and we were able to go down for the weekend. Last night we all got together and had a KFC picinic in the park.

Tyler and G. Grandma

This is pretty much all he wanted to do-run, run, run!

Practicing for his model shoot :)

"Flying" around the park with dad

Grandpa gave him some Rootbeer for the first time and he sucked it dry, then cried and cried because we wouldn't give him more!

THESE pictures are from the luncheon they had after the blessing

This was Nathan's blessing outfit. A white tuxedo with a bowtie, cumberbund, coat-tails and all!

And his cute little white shoes!

Uncle Skylar trying to convince Tyler that this wierd ball thing he had wasn't scary.

I'm not so sure he's convinced

Jumping on the in-ground trampoline. He loved laying on his stomach while people bounced around him

Ence family-minus 1 sister and 1 brother

Nelson family-minus Amanda :(

Alisa and I with our babies

Tyler would not take off my braclet-much to his father's dismay!

Sorry for the overload of pictures and posts, but I haven't been able to upload pictures for a week!

Our day at the zoo

A couple weekends ago Bobby didn't have to work and had just finished winter semester so didn't have ANY homework (first Sat. EVER), so we decided we wanted to get out and do something fun as a family. I looked up a list of activities that were going on in UT that day and found that the Hoggle Zoo in Salt Lake was having some sort of Earth Day celebration that was free, so we decided to do that. I was a little worried the whole zoo thing would be way over Tyler's head (we have a problem with sometimes overestimating his abilities) but he LOVED it! We actually missed the earth day thing, but spent 3 hours at the zoo looking at animals and it was so fun!!

A lot of the "cool" animals-lions, tigers, cougars, etc.- were sleeping, so here are some that we were close enough to take pictures of.

Waiting in line for tickets

The monkey's were one of his FAVORITES!

This is how he wanted to walk around the zoo most of the time!

Monkey boy

The other day he was playing in his room and I went in to check on him and I found him like this!

He had climbed up the boxes from the floor and was laughing so hard!

He was so proud of himself!

TP the bathroom

This is why I have to take a shower before Bobby leaves for work!

I guess it's a good thing we buy our toilet paper at Costco!

Just In Case!

Just as a note, I have to tell you that this post has been approved by Bobby. Okay, maybe not "approved", but he knows about it so don't think I'm trying to hate on him!! :) LOL

The following conversation took place this morning. Bobby was about to get in the shower and I was getting ready in the same bathroom.

Bobby: So if I need to take a small poo should I go in this bathroom or the other one?
Me: Um, I'm gonna say the other one.
Bobby: Okay
He walks out of the room and 2 sec. later comes back
Bobby: Can you hand me my glasses? I might need them just in case I wipe.
Me: Just in case?!
Bobby: Well ya. I'm getting in the shower, no need to waste toilet paper.

Wow!

What?!

May 1. Snow. 40 degrees.

Global Warming WHAT?!!!

BIG NEWS!!!

Well, I guess since it's official we are going to go ahead and make this news public. We're moving! (ha ha, you thought I was going to say pregnant didn't you?! sorry I couldn't resist!) Yep, goodbye Provo. Hello Logan! (Sorry Lora, I wish it was Kenewick but unless you can pay our out-of-state tuition we're going to have to stay in UT :) )

This is kind of a bitter sweet thing for me because I'm SO ready to be out of the fish bowl here in Happy Valley, but Logan isn't exactly what I had in mind. For those of you who don't know, Logan is about 2 hours north of Provo. And what does moving north mean? Cold, Cold, Cold!

Bobby got accepted to USU (Utah State University) and their Electrical Engineering program (which he will use to become an analyst for the CIA or FBI) which we are thrilled about! These past months have been crazy trying to figure out what we were going to be doing with the rest of our lives and now it feels like everything is starting to fall into place. Let's just hope that he can find a job and we can find a place to live. Once that happens I think I will be able to breathe again!

Just a little insight into why it was so imortant for Bobby to get into USU. Apparently there are only 3 accredited engineering schools in UT: (which of course we didn't find out until halfway through the whole applying to every school in UT process) BYU, UofU and USU. He applied to BYU, but wasn't accepted due to some VERY stupid reasoning on their part! Bobby went to a community college the summer after high school, took 10 credits and got like a 2.0 (it was right after high school what do you expect?!). He has close to a 4.0 at UVSC with almost 90 credits (yes, he could probably be a doctor by now, but I'm not going to get into that!). And what does BYU do? They average the two GPA's straight accross. Not accounting for the fact that the 2.0 is from 10 credits and the 3.8 is from 87! So Dumb! So anyway, the average of the 2 is like a 2.9 or something-not good enough to get into BYU. Whatev! The academic counselor at BYU told Bobby that he could re-take some classes at UVSC and reapply and would probably be accepted. HA! We don't want to go to your dumb school anyway! Sorry, this still makes me so mad!

So then we were left with 2 choices-Uof U or USU. But by the time we heard back from BYU the Uof U application deadline was in 2 days and there was no way we were going to be able to get the application in by then. So, what are we left with? USU. We had no other choice and if Bobby wanted to be able to major in Elec.Eng. he HAD to be accepted. I don't think I have to tell you how excited we were when we got the acceptance letter.

So long story longer, we're off to the land of the Aggies! I'm actually really excited about these changes in our life because it means that we are moving forward and somehow becoming more legit grown-ups. I will desperately miss my friends here in the Happy Valley and really am going to miss my ward (this is the first time I've EVER been able to say that since we've been married), but all the things I'm going to miss deserves it's own post so I'll save all the sappyness for later!

Go USU!
